A Virtual Simulator to Teach Medical Students

The Faculty of Medicine and Odontology of the UPV has installed a virtual reality simulator that allows students to practice venipuncture, the needle into a vein to administer the patient to some kind of drug or treatment. The center of the UPV is the first in Spain to be endowed with a team of those characteristics.

Practice With a Virtual Patient Can ‘Die’ by Maltreatment

It is not a dummy, despite appearances, but is an advanced simulator, a mannequin that can now help the students in the School of Nursing to practice with a virtual patient who may be cured or lose on the table without fear for someone to wear mourning for him.

They Rehearse Real Birth With Use of a Dummy

It was a stressful situation for three nurses who had never participated in childbirth: a woman 32 weeks pregnant with pains and contractions.

The doctor was delayed in traffic. The nurses checked the vital signs calmly told him that will bid and even comforted.

Heart Disease Monitoring Through Mobile

To support their heart patients to complete recovery after surgery program, Australian scientists had an idea to develop new techniques of caring for and supervising the patient’s cell phone.

This method has been tested by a team from the CSIRO Australian E-Health Research Center (AEHRC) and Queensland Health. They use cell phones to collect and deliver health information and also monitor the activities of patients from their homes to a central computer data via Bluetooth.
